Our Mission Statement
To assist children who have been burned or injured in fires or accidents, while providing
a healing mechanism for Houston Fire Department personnel who have been witness to these incidents by continuing care for families throughout the recovery process. History
The Houston Fire Fighters Burned and Crippled Children’s Fund was established in 1992 by a Houston Fire Fighter. The Fund was one of the first, if not the first, to successfully sell fire fighter calendars that raised funds to help children.
Cooperation
The Fund works in collaboration with The Houston Fire Department, Memorial Hermann Hospital, Camp Janus, and others in the greater Houston area to provide assistance and rehabilitative aids to children, as well as funding for supportive services for pediatric burn survivors. The Fund is set up to be utilized by Houston Fire Fighters if they respond to a scene in which a child is burned or crippled. Fire Fighters can request that the Fund aid those victims in any way possible.
Fund Raising
The Fund receives the majority of its revenue through the sales of the Houston Fire Fighters Calendar. To date, the fund has raised over two million dollars directly through the sale of the calendars. We welcome donations to our fund. If you or your organization is interested in helping us help children in our community, contact us online. The Houston Fire Fighters Burned and Crippled Children’s Fund is a 501(c)3 charity.
